News Updates: April 2016
Hey folks! Lots of awesome things happening in the month of April, I'll start with some upcoming gigs I'm playing and will try to keep this as brief as possible. Thank you all for your support as always!
First of all, I've recently hopped on board with Roots Reggae project Cannon & The Lion of Judah. Cannon is the realest of the real, having played (and lived, for that matter) traditional style reggae full time for the last few decades. The band is sounding hot and there are some great players on board. This would be the perfect time to come out and catch a gig, with all the beautiful weather we've been having!
Cannon & The Lion of Judah April Dates
April 15th @ Red Lounge; 8pm
April 21st @ Woolley Market
April 22nd @ Anchor Bar; 9pm
April 28th @ Tony V's Garage; 9pm
May 2nd @ The Cellar Door

Next on the list…I've also been brought into the Hans and Franz project, a flexible event band led by Vocalist/Flautist Gustaf Holmberg. I got to play trio with them at the new Seattle Hilton location earlier this month, and I'm looking forward to doing it again on April 20th.
Hans and Franz (Quartet) @ The Hilton Garden Inn
April 20th, 5pm-7pm; No cover1

Finally, I'm playing with contemporary rock/country artist Dylan Jakobsen one last time before he hits the road for Summer festival touring. This is sure to be a good time if you've been itching to see a great rock act.
Dylan Jakobsen @ The Box House Saloon
April 29th, 9pm; $7 cover, $12 VIP tickets (at the door)

These are the confirmed dates for this month, but I've got more that are in the works and will hopefully come together. Keep an eye on the calendar on my webpage for the most up-to-date information!
Now Teaching @ Roberts Music Institute
I'm super excited to have been asked to come onto the staff at RMI. If you're not familiar, RMI is an highly acclaimed music lesson studio in Bellevue, founded by Jay Roberts (son of legendary guitarist and founder of the GIT program [later becoming Musician's Institute], Howard Roberts). This is a bit intimidating for me, seeing as I'm now working directly with some legendary guys like Jay,and Don Mock. However, the vibe is great, and I'm happy to be involved.
I'll be at RMI all day on Mondays and Wednesdays. There are some great perks that come from signing up for their program, and I'd love to fill out my schedules a bit with friends!
More about RMI can be found at http://robertsmusicinstitute.com
Note, I still have schedule space on Tuesdays, where I teach in-home lessons! I have a great referral program; if you know anybody who's looking for some guitar lessons, be sure to ask me about it!
Debut EP from Aleksandra Denda now available!
While I was in Boston studying at Berklee, I played viola on a new single being recorded by fellow student Aleksandra Denda. Now based in New York, Ms. Denda's new EP, Dreamer, is finally available! You can hear me playing in the string quartet that's featured on the title track. The record is super interesting; she has a very unique compositional style and sound, and I highly recommend checking it out.

Ok, I think that's just about everything! I'd love to see some of you kind folks at a show this month. If you can't make any of the ones I've listed, just make sure to keep an eye on my calendar, as I update it regularly. Also, please let me know if you are playing anywhere this month!
